We couldn't visit baby Austin due to colds (mine, Avi's). So the two of us hopped in the car on Saturday and drove to Sacramento to visit a good childhood friend of mine and her 3 kids. Avi was in kid heaven and it was so good to see my friend! If I had stopped to think about it, I wouldn't have gone. It was super easy and nice to get away for the day . . .
And because we were in town, we got to go to Declan's 2nd birthday party, which was the best Sunday afternoon soiree I've been to in awhile. Leeor got this picture post-cupcakes.
It's good to be spontaneous, for a change.
