I haven't had much of a chance to write--between feeding, diaper changing, sleeping and trying to keep up with our home, we have been in this bizarre space/time continuum with Avi, and the rest of the world has become a little fuzzy. It's been wonderful. We both feel like our lives are better because Avi is here. We don't mind feeling kinda wrecked most of the time because we have this amazing little baby filling up our days and nights.
Also, because I haven't written our birth story yet, I felt somehow like I couldn't yet write about what's happening now . . .but I guess I'm not quite ready to write about Avi's birth. Soon.
Right now, Leeor is holding sleeping, post-bath-time Avi while I write this. I feel tired and have no idea what the rest of the night will be like, as every night has been different. One night, Avi actually slept for 6 hours in a row! Most nights, he sleeps in 3-4 hour stretches, then wakes to nurse and get a clean diaper before going back to sleep. Days are all different, too. The past couple of days he's been an eating machine, wanting to nurse almost every hour.
The hardest part so far was his circumcision. I will write about that soon, too. For now, I just want to enjoy Leeor and Avi while we snuggle together--our little family.
